Dang... Ding!

Installing the Deck
Trimming the excess deck material from the cockpit was tough. I ended up cutting into the deck a tiny bit. It was too tight a curve for my block plane to be of use. I finally resorted to sanding down the extra with my random orbital sander. It was slow, but more straightforward.

Another observation, was that after flipping the boat over and pouring some mustard thick epoxy glue along the deck to hull seam, created a lot more work when trimming and planning the excess deck material. My plane didn't like the hardened epoxy.

All in all, I am moving along pretty well and should be able to put the boat in the water on vacation next week. It just might not look so great until I do the finishing steps this winter.
