How to share your photos in online forums.

Want to share your digital pictures with fellow boat builders? Here is a quick step-by-step tutorial using BoatBloggers.com and the CLCBoats.com forums. Assumptions:

• You have an account at boatbloggers.com.
• Your photos are on your pc or mac hard-drive.

Steps:

Enter a title,
1. Upload your photo
   1. Log into boatbloggers.com.
   2. Click on the link labeled "Update My Blog" towards the top of the left hand column.
   3. Click on the link labeled "Blog Entry" in the center column.
   4. Follow the prompts on this form for entering a title, description and the file. Click submit.
2. Get the URL to your photo
   1. View your entry on boatbloggers.com.
   2. If you are on a PC, right mouse click, or on a Mac, control click on the photo.
   3. In the menu that pops up, click "open in new window".
   4. At this point, you should have a window with just the image showing in it. There should not be any navigational text on this screen. If so, select the URL for the image from the address bar at the top of your browser window. The url will have the prefix "http://www.boatbloggers.com".
   5. Choose "edit | copy" from the browser menus.
3. Share this photo in the CLCboats.com forums.
   1. Navigate to the CLCboats.com forums and click on "Post New Message" on the top of the page.
   2. Enter a title and message for your post.
   3. Move to the field labeled "Optional Image URL:" and paste the url to your image here. To paste choose "File|Paste" from the browser menu.
   4. Submit and view your post.
